Some come for their entire undergraduate career, others for one or two semesters as part of an international exchange programme; others come for a year as taught post-graduate students, or enrol as research postgraduates at MA or Ph.D level. Others come to attend one of our Summer Schools, or to take English Language classes of varying duration. As an international University, with a worldwide reputation, set in a scenic location on the banks of the river Shannon, the University has proven to be a popular destination for students from Europe, Asia, Africa, North America etc. Currently, more than half of all incoming overseas students in the University come to this Faculty.
